Margaret Anne Wilson

Margaret Anne Wilson, age 88, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 14, 1938, in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (née Carter) Thompson.

Margaret was a devoted wife to her husband of 62 years, James Wilson, and a loving mother to her three children. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville, where she sang in the choir for over 40 years. She had a passion for gardening, quilting, and baking her famous apple pie for anyone who visited her home.

She is survived by her husband James Wilson; her children, Robert Wilson (Susan), Patricia Moore (David), and Thomas Wilson (Karen); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Thompson.
